Quality Engineer II, you will work within the Patriot Product Line Integrated Product Teams (IPT) representing the customers’ best interests, assuring product quality and effectiveness. The selected applicant will report to the IPTs Mission Assurance Leads and will be responsible for the interpretation of contractual requirements and the application of Quality sciences. Applicants should have a background in Quality Sciences. This position requires strong interpersonal skills that will be used to present critical issues to leadership and influence cross functional groups. The selected candidate will drive business improvements using Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD), Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Build and maintain beneficial relationships with IPT and functional peers
Drive critical issues to closure on a daily basis working with suppliers, customers, and other functional teams
Lead process improvements using RMD Six Sigma
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, OR related discipline
Experience in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action implementation
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:

Able to write, interpret, and execute policies and procedures; recommends modifications to operating policies

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to understand drawings, work instructions, Bills of Material (BOMs), process disciplines
Ability to lead in a team-based manufacturing environment and make decisions with minimal supervision
