Sr Tech Support Engineer I – Electron Beam Lithography An opportunity currently exists for a 2 nd shift process engineer in the wafer fab of the Microelectronics Engineering and Technology department. The Microelectronics Engineering and Technology (MET) department designs and manufactures compound semiconductor devices, millimeter/microwave integrated circuits and modules for defense and commercial applications and is a part of Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems. As part of the Wafer Fabrication Engineering Department, the individual in this role will serve in a support position for the ebeam lithography/metrology workcenter in the RF Components production wafer fab. In this role, the individual will perform setups and run the electron beam exposure equipment, verify data integrity, prepare programs for executing the exposure of wafers, analyze results using optical and scanning electron microscopes, and support the production as well as the process development fabs in other ways as needed. We are looking for a self-sufficient, confident individual who can work independently in a laboratory environment. The chosen candidate will also be expected to work with engineers in various areas of wafer fabrication and process development on next generation technologies. An understanding of basic semiconductor processing and cleanroom experience is expected. Required Skills & Experience Knowledge of basic photolithography or e-beam lithography processing techniques including resist coating, exposing/writing, and developing Experience working in a cleanroom environment Desired Skills & Experience Knowledge of III-V semiconductors, preferably Gallium Arsenide and Gallium Nitride Experience with scanning electron microscopes, metrology tools, and related data analysis techniques Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and related SPC software Desire to learn new wafer fabrication skills and willingness to assist team members Ability to create, document, and maintain work instructions Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills Education (must fulfill one of the following) Bachelor degree with 4+ years of semiconductor processing or equipment experience Associate degree with 15+ years of semiconductor processing or equipment experience This position will be at salary grade G08 or G09 depending on experience level Keywords : semiconductor, lithography, cleanroom, process engineering, wafer fabrication This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
