Sensata Technologies, Inc. Tech Support, Smart & Connected in Attleboro, Massachusetts

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support via different mediums (phone, email, web, etc.) to customers and partners covering both hardware and software solutions.

  • Create application notes, diagnostic procedures/troubleshooting guides, and other resources to enable customers to operate, install, troubleshoot and service our products.

  • Assist with return material authorizations when troubleshooting leads to this determination.

  • Assist with other customer service and order management functions as necessary.

  • Assist in the onboarding of new customers (installation of the HW, review and configuration of the SW).

  • Active member of the product management process; collecting information from customers post install to gather any product defects and/or new product functionality requests.

  • Monitor, collect, and summarize trends in product performance and customer satisfaction which will be reported up to the Business Development leads.

  • Provides technical assistance, expertise and feedback to internal customers.

  • Works cross-functionally across the organization to address customer technical issues (e.g. proposes product improvements, manufacturing process improvements, etc..).

  • Maintains database of customer inquiries, analyzes data and develops solutions to address significant and reoccurring issues.

  • Assists other team members and management to make continuous improvement within the customer service department.

  • Outline process improvements for escalation and resolution of technical support cases

  • Support growth and leadership of a team of 2-3 additional technical support personnel


Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of related experience in technical support, customer support, or service.

  • Minimum 4-year degree in a related field.

  • Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues.

  • Requires excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, and customer service ethics.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task across the organization.

  • Working knowledge of common Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • A self-starter with the demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Travel <10% to attend customers and partner installs.
