LogixHealth Assistant Team Lead, EDI in Bedford, Massachusetts

    To assume an assistant leadership role in ensuring timely filing of 837 files and collection of 835 files; analyze rejection reports and report back to EDI management team missing or erred information, support EDI team members with issues and training, problem solve and help facilitate process improvement.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Report reconciliation for primary clearinghouse

    2. Manage Individual EDI Provider enrollments with Payers

    3. Work with Automation Team on EDI process improvements

    4. Train incoming team members and cross train existing team members

    5. Assist EDI Team Lead and Supervisor on special projects

    6. Identify errors and monitoring of clearinghouse/carrier reports

    7. Send 837 files

    a. Run validations in the Ntierprise software system on claims data to ensure billing integrity

    b. Prepare the electronic claims to be sent

    1. Collect 835 files

    a. Electronically matching insurance payments to the correct practice in the Ntierprise system

    1. Adhere to the Code of Conduct and be familiar with all compliance policies and procedures stored in LogixGarden relevant to this position

    Education (Degrees, Certificates, Licenses, Etc.)

    High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

    Computer Skills

    Prior MS Office experience, including proficiency with Excel and Word, and internet software experience required.


    One to two years related experience with previous leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

    Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability

    1. Ability to communicate effectively and instruct staff in a leadership role

    2. Prior knowledge of EDI operations

    3. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization

    4. Ability to add, to subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. This ability will encompass using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

    5. Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages

    6. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals

    7. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

    8. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

    9. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form

    10. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

    11. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision

    12. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, use hands, talk, hear and occasionally walk and reach with hands or arms
