The MITRE Satellite Communication department has an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic technical team having substantial impact on the design and development of next generation DoD communication systems. While our work focuses on radios/terminals that communicate with satellites, we are also responsible for developing communication capabilities that span space, aerial, terrestrial, nuclear and cyber military domains.
Performing communication systems and sub-system analysis for requirements development, performance/benefit trade analysis, end-to-end performance analysis, modeling and simulation, integration and test, and developing approaches to identify and mitigate system risks.
Participating in working groups or studies covering multiple engineering domains, creating timely and actionable recommendations to shape DoD strategy, and interfacing and collaborating across multiple stakeholders to create optimized solutions to national problems.
Broad communication systems engineering knowledge to support system development.
An ability to frame, analyze and solve technical problems. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across multiple organizations and engineering disciplines.
Course work or experience in communication systems, communications theory, digital signal processing, design concepts
Co-op or internship in communication systems
Eligible for a U.S. Secret
