As a Cyber Operations intern in MITRE’s Cyber Infrastructure Department, join a dynamic team working to develop, apply, and integrate advanced technologies to solve our nation’s most critical Cyber Security problems.

Key Functions:

  • Develop software solutions that detect real-world threats in networks and systems

  • Deploy tools that automate the identification of malicious actors

  • Architect and prototype secure, resilient, virtualized environments, responding to cyber effects through protective action or by employing cyber countermeasures.

Qualifications

RequiredQualifications:

  • Working towards a degree in computer science, computerengineering, electrical engineering, or related field.

  • Coursework in cyber security, data analytics, and/ormachine learning.

  • Knowledge of scripting/programming (e.g.Python, JavaScript), including version control.

  • Basic knowledge of cyber security principles suchas defense-in-depth and confidentiality/integrity/availability

  • Basic knowledge of cyber security tools suchas SIEM(s) and Kali Linux.

  • Basic understanding of networking (OSI model, DNS,TCP/UDP)

  • Ability to write and present technical material.

MinimumQualifications:

Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree.
