MITRE’s Strengthening Coalition Capabilities (N124) department solves challenging integration and interoperability challenges across the US Security Cooperation Enterprise (SCE). We work with our US and international partners to advance mutual policy objectives, better position collaborative capabilities, and enhance concept and mission employment across the SCE lifecycle. N124 seeks passionate technical and domain engineers who are driven to apply the best methods and practices in Model Based Systems and Digital Engineering to address multi-faceted coalition challenges impacting US and coalition mission effectiveness. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Identify and apply current and emerging Digital Engineering practices, methods, and tools to address our sponsor and partners' most pressing challenges;
Apply knowledge and principles of agile acquisition, architecture design, system integration, risk assessment/management, and other systems engineering disciplines to support recommendations to address these challenges;
Employ rapid prototyping and technical recommendations to inform sponsor and partner capability requirements and decisions;
Collaborate with MITRE Labs and relevant Platform partners to contribute to greater practice of MBSE and DE across the enterprise.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline
5 years of professional experience
Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and engineering excellence.
Demonstrated leadership elements and collaboration across diverse and multi-disciplinary teams.
Technical skill and capability with an interest towards pushing the state of the art into the state of the practice.
Familiarity with model based systems engineering and digital engineering practices.
Interest or experience in multi-disciplinary complex problem solving.
Previous project-based work involving modeling, simulation, experimentation and/or prototyping
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
Knowledge and application of specific tools, methods, and practices of Digital Engineering, MBSE, and Systems and Architectural design.
Experience and familiarity with US Security Cooperation Enterprise.
Experience with DoD MBSE and Digital Engineering practices, tools, and projects.
Interest in enhancing expertise in Digital Engineering
