MITRE is seeking strong technical candidates with a computer science or software engineering background to join a research and development team focused on investigating new technologies and building prototypes. The candidate will enjoy a fast-paced team environment, working on cutting edge technology, and be a self-starter.  The position would be proficient in at least one of these disciplines: offensive Cyber tool development, reverse engineering, vulnerability research, embedded countermeasures, Cyber/EW convergence, RF jamming, geolocation, offensive Cyber tradecraft, and/or Cyber denial and deception.

Basic Qualifications:

• Reverse engineer mobile and embedded devices

• Develop offensive tools

• Research vulnerabilities for exploitation purposes

• Support to outward-reaching sponsors

• Develop prototypes based on research

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

• At least 8 years of successful experience

• Secret Clearance Required

Additional Qualifications:

• Familiarity with ARM platforms such as Android and/or iOS

• Familiarity with network forensics, pcap analysis

• Familiarity with Linux; comfortable on the command line

• Familiarity with reverse engineering obfuscated or binary files

• Familiarity with database systems (e.g., MySQL, Postgres, SQLite)

• Proficient in prototyping using Python

• Knowledge of software vulnerabilities and exploitation

• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word

• Must have demonstrated proficiency and strength in verbal, written, PC, presentation, and communications skills

• Ability to possess and maintain Secret Clearance level

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with one or more environments/sponsors operating in the offensive domain.

• Familiarity with operational Cyber concepts and objectives.

• Familiarity with mobile app programming languages and scripting tools. (e.g., Java, Objective-C, Swift, Python, C, C++, Go)

• Familiarity with RF concepts

• Ability to work independently to learn new technologies, languages, platforms, etc.
