The Emerging Systems Engineering Technologies Department is charged with identifying, developing and applying new technologies that can address the Government's most challenging Systems Engineering problems.

This is an opportunity for MID career engineers who are thought leaders and have a track record of leading projects/task.

This position provides challenging opportunities to apply and expand one’s systems architecture modeling, and tradespace analysis skills.

Areas of interest include Model Based Engineering (MBSE, MDA, MDD, MDE), Systems of Systems, architecture modeling, analysis of complex systems, and decision support.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leading Tasks/Projects and teams to accomplish project objectives/address sponsor problems

  • Modeling architectures of complex systems using standards-based languages (ex. SysML / UML)

  • Evaluating and comparing alternative architectures using qualitative and quantitative techniques

  • Articulating major uncertainties associated with systems architectures, defining risks and opportunities associated with the uncertainties

  • Supporting requirements management, interface management and architecture change management processes

  • Translating analysis results into actionable recommendations for the US Government agencies

  • Developing prototypes using Java, Python and related programming languages.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field

  • 8+ years applicable systems engineering experience.

  • Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a US clearance.

Required for consideration:

  • Handon proficiency with SysML, UML and other modeling tools

  • Documented success using Cameo / MagicDraw, Doors and similar packages.

  • Knowledge of systems architecture and systems design and development.

  • Ingenuity for applying a set of technical skills across multiple subject matter domains such as healthcare and defense

  • Experience with multi-disciplinary modeling and simulation (physics-level, engineering-level and/or operational-level).

  • Project-based team work experience

  • Track record of leadership in SE innovation, research, and publishing

  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word

  • Must have demonstrated proficiency and strength in verbal, written, PC, presentation, and communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in technical field of study

  • Preference given to qualified candidates with current clearance.

  • Demonstrated technical management for SE projects that require cross-disciplinary collaboration

  • Knowledge of Analysis of Alternatives, Verification and Validation, Design of Experiments and data analytics.

  • Experience with Web3/Blockchain Technologies

Salary compensation range and midpoint:

$127,500 - $159,500 - $191,500 Annual
