iRobot Corporation Network Security Manager in Bedford, Massachusetts
iRobot is looking for a Network Security Manager who is a well-rounded individual to fill in a role within our Information Security department. This individual will work with Senior Information Security staff on multiple IT projects and play a critical role in building Network Security program at iRobot. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires direct involvement in day-to-day activities.
Lead the development and execution of the technology strategy for iRobot’s Network Security function; partnering with the IT Network Engineering team and to align with the strategic IT roadmap.
Architect, design and implement security projects including firewalls, network access control, vulnerability management, and many more.
Participate in the development of cloud strategies by providing leadership in network security components of the strategy.
Develop and manage the network security capital and operating budget.
Provide oversight to technical implementations of complex multi-site projects and solutions.
Own the operational delivery of network security, and monitoring for both internal and external stakeholders.
Develop standards, best practices, guide and interact with iRobot employees in solving day-to-day network security operational issues.
Develop and foster relationships, share and collaborate with other IT personnel beyond Info Sec team, allowing for the effective exchange of information and ideas.
Understand new and emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits that can affect iRobot’s assets with respect to confidentiality, integrity and availability.
Respond to cyber security incidents through remediation efforts including imples, and recommend documented resolutions for enhancement.mentation of secure tools, solutions, and the development of incident response and recovery processes.
Apply current security technologies to the design and integration of enterprise application infrastructures to maintain overall security.
Wear an operational hat when needed in analyzing output from the IDS and IPS devices; packet capture tools; evaluate and audit firewall rules; Initiate remediation actions and further research controls and countermeasures where required.
Assist in monitoring, investigating, documenting in detail and resolving identified security weaknesses, and recommend documented resolutions for enhancement.
Strong network expertise with a security mindset is critical to success in this role. The successful candidate must have demonstrated technical skill sets to maintain, troubleshoot and deploy network security technologies. High-level communication skills are essential to successfully translate business requests to technology and security requirements.
Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, VOiP, QoS, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, SMTP, NTP, SNMP. Network Routing Protocols such as BGP, OSPF, WAN technologies using MPLS and VPN Encryption Tunnels
Technical expertise working with one or more of the following: Packet Analysis tools such as Netwitness, Network Firewalls, IPD/IDS, Wireless Intrusion Prevention, Web Proxy, VPN Technologies such as CISCO ASA, Checkpoint, Palo Alto
Participate in on-site network and security audits related to PCI, SOX, ITAR, etc… to demonstrate effective network security enterprise controls
Stay current on the latest network security threats and vulnerabilities to take proactive actions to secure the enterprise environment.
10+ years’ experience working in information security related field in an enterprise environment
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent degree
Strong leadership skills. Must be able to lead strategies and teams and ensure reliable, high quality, and efficient execution of projects and operational responsibilities.
Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills with an ability to represent complex data in executive level graphical reporting dashboards
Wired and wireless network security devices such as Cisco WLSM. SSL VPNs such as Cisco ASAs, Next generation firewalls or modern security gateways.
Certifications such as CISSP, CCIE, CCNA, CCNP, GIAC, CEH are encouraged.
