iRobot is seeking an Operations Platform Manager to join our Global Operations team. This position will work with Global Operations in a strategic and tactical role to deliver both Functional and Technical system solutions for our Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and S&OP functions. The Operations Platform Manager will work collaboratively with the business and with IT to recommend system enhancements aligned with business goals and company objectives. The Operations Platform Manager will be responsible for administration of the Global Demand and Supply Planning tool: documenting business requirements, assisting to develop system solutions and validating system designs through rigorous testing of solutions. The Operations Platform Manager will create work instructions for business processes and will deliver training to functional users of the systems around the world. As a system administrator for the application, the Platform manager will also be responsible for documenting standard protocols for maintaining the systems, and working closely with consultants to ensure the design and implementation of tools satisfies business requirements.

  • Work closely with the business leads to understand and document critical business issues, needs and requirements. Recommend system solutions to address the requirements. Manage the design, development and validation efforts through to completion

  • Develop new capabilities, maintain and enhance existing Demand and Supply Planning tool functionality

  • Develop business intelligence reporting capabilities for the Global Operations team to include Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management, and S&OP. Ensure reports are flexible yet easy to understand and maintain

  • Documentation of work instructions, software test plans and system maintenance protocols

  • Serve as a super-user and subject matter expert within the Global Operations team for the Demand and Supply planning tool

  • Manage third party vendors as required

  • Manage all system upgrades including communication of new capabilities, testing and validation efforts, and ultimate implementation to the various regions

  • Serve as the System Administrator for the demand/supply planning models. Provide first level of support to the team for all system issues.

  • Conduct end user training Global Operations tools as required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Management, Computer Science, or related discipline or equivalent experience is required

  • 5-8 years of experience in similar role with track record of success in leading people, processes, and systems projects

  • Functional and Technical experience with a broad range of software including:

  • MS Excel (required)

  • Demand Planning software (Preferred)

  • MRP/ERP - such as Oracle E-Biz R12, Hyperion

  • Access, Visio, Office 365, SharePoint

  • Excel

  • Tableau

  • SQL

  • Data Warehouse

  • Experience in Supply Chain best practices, software design, and industry trends

  • Business technology experience gained through partnering with IT organization for business process enhancements.

  • Solid technical understanding and proven ability to leverage technology to meet business objectives

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and conceptual skills

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels, and thrive in a cross-functional, evolving business and technical environment

  • Ability to work independently in an operations environment

  • Ability to work virtually with other organizations

  • Travel to various Global iRobot facilities as required
