Lead OPIR SME & Data Analyst

Location: El Segundo, CA, Boulder, CO, Colorado Springs, CO, Bedford, MA

Clearance: Secret

This role will be focused on prototyping and modernizing future capabilities in Missile Warning and Battlespace Awareness. It will be part of a key group supporting SMC’s FORGE (Future Operationally Resilient Ground Enterprise), the new ground control and processing system for Space Infrared (IR) constellations .

  • Lead Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) algorithm analysis efforts, comparing and validating various new Next Gen algorithms against POR systems including SAGE (Space Awareness and Global Exploitation).

  • Evaluate new and innovative FORGE algorithms that could be integrated and matured at the TAP lab.

  • Support FORGE Systems Technical Requirements review and evaluate against future warfighter needs and modern threats

  • Contribute to the architecting of the future OPIR Ground processing capability

  • Champion FORGE space domain equities and collaboration across FFRDC, SETA, and Contractor activities, demos and experiments as well as capability integration with the Tools, Application, and Processing (TAP) Lab

  • Leverage across distinct, cross-disciplinary teams: On-board Mission processing/ground processing teams, Acquisition Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Agile SW SMEs, and IR Sensor SMEs to deliver recommendations and support for a resilient FORGE system and space processing technologies.

  • Interface with the Government sponsors

Lead Data Manager

Location: Bedford, MA

MITRE’s Responsive Operational Planning Department in the Air Operations Division of the Air Force Center is seeking an experienced Data Manager for the Kessel Run (KR) Project. The Kessel Run Experimentation Lab (KREL) in Boston, MA is the Air Force’s software factory where combat software capabilities are defined, developed, tested, deployed, and maintained using an Agile software development methodology and DevSecOps processes.

  • Provide objective solutions and recommendations to address customer challenges.

  • Deliver high quality data-driven technical products and/or solutions with actionable recommendations for the sponsor

  • Communicate, written and verbally, with customer and MITRE on status of products in a concise, professional, and timely manner.

  • Assist in the definition and implementation of enterprise-wide data strategy, policies, controls, and programs to ensure enterprise data are accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.

  • As part of a MITRE-government team, contribute to the development and evaluation of data and information assets across the enterprise.

  • Support the next generation of enterprise-level data and analytics strategy implementation, to support mission and evaluation of investments.

  • Provide Subject Matter advice and guidance about data management topics and trends to senior leadership and managers
