The MITRE Corporation Policy & Compliance Analyst in Bedford, Massachusetts

Our team of cybersecurity professionals apply leading edge thinking to ensure sponsor cybersecurity strategies and policies are relevant and effective. Through collaborative work with our sponsors, we provide expertise to establish and refine governance structures to ensure information security programs meet organizational mission requirements and establish mechanisms that improve operational security effectiveness.

Responsibilities include:

  • Corporate Waiver Risk Assessments (50%)

  • Compliance Tasks (30%)

  • Policy Writing, Modification, and Interpretation (10%)

  • Contract Reviews (10%)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS and 5 to 8 years related experience

  • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating successfully with teams

  • Demonstrated examples of building and leveraging relationships that had a positive impact on the work

  • Track record of impactful work – how you have made a difference

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proactive, critical thinking skills

  • Good prioritization and time management skills to deliver on multiple tasks

  • Excellent written/verbal communications skills

  • General knowledge of industry security frameworks

  • Some technical knowledge of networks, operating systems, and/or applications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters in Cybersecurity Policy or Risk Management

  • Knowledge of security standards (e.g., NIST SP 800-171, CMMC)

  • Risk Management experience

  • Experience conducting policy compliance audits

  • Experience interpreting government requirements and translating them into corporate policy

  • Familiarity with advanced cyber adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures

  • Existing DoD Secret Clearance
