LogixHealth Senior Systems Administrator, Infrastructure in Bedford, Massachusetts
Location: Bedford, MA; Onsite; Hybrid
This Role:
We are seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Sr Systems Infrastructure Manager, the Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining our on prem Windows Server infrastructure running on Vmware and Nutanix; in addition to this, you will be part of a team responsible for maintaining our Azure cloud infrastructure, including architecture planning, deployment, and maintenance. Additionally, having a good working knowledge of Linux, and/or Ansible or a similar automation platform is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and administer our Windows Server infrastructure, including server and VM optimization, configuration, security, and ongoing maintenance.
Design, implementation, and management of our Azure Cloud environment.
Ensure the availability, security, and performance of Windows servers, services, and applications in a hybrid cloud environment.
Collaborate with Information Technology Services teams to design, implement, and maintain server systems that meet business requirements.
Assist in the design and migration of various on prem workloads to Azure; ensuring a seamless transition while maintaining data integrity and user access controls.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective action as necessary.
Maintain documentation of server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Collaborate with IT teams to define and implement best practices and standards for server administration.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding server-related issues.
Conduct regular patch management, system updates, and vulnerability remediation to maintain server security and compliance.

Required:
3+ years’ experience related to responsibilities.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience desired
Experience managing compute infrastructure in a hybrid cloud environment.
Extensive familiarity with the Microsoft Azure architecture and services.
Poven experience as a Microsoft Systems Engineer, specifically with Windows Server (all versions) administration. Along with Windows expertise, mid level Linux experience is a plus.
Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and TCP/IP networking.
Familiarity with virtualized infrastructure and relevant management tools (Nutanix AHV, Vmware, Hyper V etc.) and Nutanix prism.
Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure and related services including Azure Active Directory, Azure AVD, Azure networking, Azure monitoring, Azure compliance policies, and Azure security controls (access management and Identity).
Experience with Azure Devops Server, IAC, and pipelines.
Experience with Office365, Intune, and Defender.
Experience with server patching, vulnerability management, and system updates.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred:
Education or certifications commensurate with the duties required are a plus.
