The Role

We are looking for experienced and talented individuals interested in developing Industrial IoT Infrastructure for the process industries using microservices, integrated web UIs, and open source mesh components. Strong software development and design skills working with C#, Go, Python, Angular JS, Type Script, HTML5, security, and cloud technologies are important.

The ideal candidate should be creative with strong analysis, problem-solving, and leadership skills, and comfortable operating successfully at the interface of computer science and systems engineering.

Your Impact

  • Design, coding, implementation, and testing of software applications and components with primary focus in the areas of analysis and summarization of plant process data.

  • Collaborate with other team members to develop designs, use cases, architecture and specification documents for our products.

  • Work with Customer Support and Quality Engineering teams regarding customer and product issues as well as integration testing.

  • Analyze customer requirements and develop technical specifications.

  • Participate in the maintenance and enhancement of existing code base.

  • Keep current with new and developing technologies as they appear in industry and academia, and assist in determining the feasibility of implementing new technologies.

  • Provide technical support to product management, product marketing, services, customer and business support on customer activities.

What You'll Need

  • Two to seven years of experience developing practical and innovative software solutions within industrial and business settings, and a degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required.

  • Strong technical programming and software development experience with C#, Python, Angular JS, Type Script, HTML5, XML, RESTful Services, and JSON is required.

  • Knowledge of Go, math and statistics, design patterns, open-source and 3rd party libraries, security, cloud technologies, and trouble shooting skills is a plus.

  • A track record of championing new ideas and technology.

  • Ability to effectively contribute to multi-disciplinary research, development, and software project teams.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Knowledge of AspenTech products is desirable.

  • English fluency (written and verbal) is required.

  • Strong problem solving ability is required.

  • Working well within a global team environment is required.
