We are looking for an innovative software manager to help us lead the intelligence revolution for robots. This person will need to think like a robot in order to figure out how to make them smarter. You will lead a team, utilizing state-of-the-art algorithms, to advance capabilities in SLAM, computer vision and machine learning. Success will be autonomous robots that live side-by-side with their human counterparts – and possibly taking over the world.
Recruit innovative algorithm developers to build next generation software for robots.
Guide a group of talented developers to build algorithms for robot mapping/navigation, computer vision, and machine learning.
Lead by example, inspiration and teamwork.
Establish clear goals, objectives and priorities that communicate the organization’s vision.
Set technical direction and drive developer productivity through best in class software engineering practices.
Ensure solutions are engineered for a secure, reliable, high performance, highly-available experience for end users.
Develop and maintain relationships with product management and other parts of the organization to meet/exceed customer requirements.
Attract and retain top talent to build a world class software function, and lead continuous improvement to efficiently meet the future needs of the organization.
Strong foundational background developing algorithms for robots.
Understanding of key concepts including: particle filters, graph SLAM, structure from motion, kalman filters and other core robot algorithms.
Someone that enjoys math, especially matrix algebra.
C/C++ applications for Linux or embedded systems
Experience with real-time and multi-threaded systems.
Strong analytical skills and a desire to learn as well as teach others.
M.S / PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
