Job Description Summary
The Analyst Development Program provides the opportunity for recent college graduates to gain exposure to a wide variety of business functions and product offerings within the insurance industry.
While rotating every six months in a multitude of departments, analysts will be able to gain perspective and enhance career growth under the guidance of various mentors and through engagement with upper level executives. Rotations include Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Finance, Product Management, Pricing, and R&D. Ideal candidates have an interest in data, problem solving, business operations, and business strategy.
Electric Insurance also provides the unique opportunity to have a direct and visible impact on the company’s strategy and success based on analytical findings and recommendations. Upon completion of the program, analysts will graduate into a full-time position where they will be able to expand on core foundations built throughout the program. All rotations will take place within Electric Insurance at our headquarters in Beverly, MA.
BS/BA in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Economics, Accounting, or another Business background
Minimum 3.5 overall GPA
Excellent quantitative, technical, and problem-solving skills
Moderate to Advanced Excel Skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, VBA)
Intellectual curiosity and openness to exploring a variety of career paths
Ability to communicate, explain, and present complex problems at a high-level
Willingness to work cross-functionally with a wide variety of teams
Recommend future business strategies and areas for improvement based on analytical findings
Ability to explain complex, technical problems at a high level to a wide variety of audiences
Demonstrated leadership experience
-Querying languages (SQL, QlikView, Business Objects)
-Statistical languages (R, SAS, STATA, SPSS)
-Predictive Modeling/Data Science experience
-Insurance Designations (Actuarial Exams, CPCU)
