Microchip Technology Engineer II-Design in Beverly, Massachusetts
Microchip is currently looking for a Electrical Engineer to join our Frequency and Timing development team. Responsibilities include:
Design Analog, Mixed Signals, Embedded Processing, RF and Microwave circuits for atomic clocks and supporting products
Work in a team with Electrical Engineers, PCB designers, Software Engineers and Mechanical Engineers, hold Design Reviews and support New Product Introduction process
Develop Engineering Requirement Specifications, Qualification Plans, Test Plans and Test Procedures
Support failure analysis and troubleshooting of new and existing products
Generate Change Orders and process them in the Product Lifecycle Management system
Work with Component Engineering on supporting ROHS compliance and EOL issues for new and existing products
BS in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years or MS in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience in hardware design
Principal understanding of analog circuits, including amplifiers, active/passive filters and control loops
Experience with lab tools and test equipment (Power Supply, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, etc.)
Experience with Microsoft Office tools, strong presentation/communication and technical writing skills
Basic knowledge of electronics development/manufacturing process, including Schematic Capture, PCB design, Assembly processes and Test processes
Basic understanding of RF/Microwave circuits, including amplifiers and synthesizers
Experience with Embedded Computing, Digital Signal Processing and Mixed Signal circuits
Experience with Crystal Oscillators
Experience with FPGA design using VHDL/Verilog
Experience with engineering software tools (Python, LabView, Mathlab, Ansys, etc.)
