Cabot Corporation Sr. IT Analyst - Contract in Billerica, Massachusetts

Looking for a creative, self-motivated, software engineer with strong problem solving skills to migrate/upgrade existing internal Web-based business applications in the areas of Manufacturing and Supply Chain. This will be a two (2) to three (3) month contract.

  • Data processing/analysis,

  • Reporting systems

  • Gather/analyze business requirements and perform creative application/database/system design.

  • Develop, test, deploy and document software solutions using current .NET technologies.

  • Maintain/upgrade existing applications written in legacy technologies or early versions of the .NET Framework.

  • Employ good user interface design with an emphasis on usability and positive user experience.

  • Interact with business and end users for project development and support.

  • Knowledge of software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including prototyping, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, and testing.

  • Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Have the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

  • Four years post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

  • 5-7 years professional systems analysis and programming experience.
