IBM Account Management Development Program in Boston, Massachusetts
This position is part of a targeted rotational program aimed at accelerating the development of IBM Global Technology Services (GTS) Delivery professionals. This role will move through various parts of our Strategic Outsourcing organization by working with our account teams supporting clients and working with the internal organizations in GTS.
Candidates will build skills for account leadership that focus on constructing partnerships between clients, team IBM, vendors, and subcontractor organizations and manages the implementation of these partnerships to address business opportunities. They will build a portfolio of skills in key general management areas:
Client relationship management
Working with account and competency teams to ensure customer satisfaction and customer relationship are grown
Understanding customer requirements and business opportunity/requirements identification, guidance, support, and closure
Financial / business management
Owning and managing the financial objectives for our account teams while improving overall customer satisfaction targets.
Portfolio / program management
Leading our delivery teams to contract performance standards, client measurements and commitments
Utilize project management methodologies to initialize, plan, execute, control, and monitor a project are needed
Team / people management
Manage IBM resources and coordinates client resources to deliver services and solutions to support the client organization.
This position requires skills which include leadership, teamwork, high-impact communication, presentation delivery, and self-motivation. Additionally, an understanding of emerging technologies and technical solutions pertaining to client needs, including areas around Cloud, Analytics and AI.
The start date for these openings will be in summer 2019. This unique program is designed to accelerate development via training, mentoring, and through rotational experiences with actual Strategic Outsourcing Clients. Position will require flexibility for frequent travel.
Positions are based in Armonk, New York, Columbia, MO, and Raleigh, NC.
