General Purpose of Job
This position will consult/analyze and deliver on more complex Individual Annuity Data Governance assignments/projects including table maintenance and balancing and controls for SOX processes. S/he will act as the point of contact for data governance activities including the management of data dictionaries and procedures and updates and maintenance for tables while achieving favorable data governance metrics. This position is also responsible for facilitating data definitions and reference values.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manages all balancing, monitoring, and controls as part of SOX processes including monitoring of Daily Dashboard and Administrative system and Compensation balancing.
Maintains Data Dictionary Documentation for source files and AnnuityHQ as well as other documentation and procedures required.
Manages all table updates to existing Valuation processes and AnnuityHQ tables.
Supports and facilitates access requests to AnnuityHQ including regular monitoring of access.
Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Consults/Analyze on more complex assignments and/or projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Participates in and facilitates meetings for the Data Advisory Group.
Creates and utilizes data governance scorecards to support Data Advisory Group discussions and decision making.
Documents and records information, decisions, and recommendations made by the Data Advisory Group.
Supports the development of the Data Governance vision and framework while remaining aligned with overall business objectives.
Develops, documents, and maintains definition, production, usage, classification, and compliance rules across multiple business units to support the enterprise management of data.
Communicates all data rules to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborates with data owners and data custodians to identify and resolve more complex data governance issues in a timely and collaborative manner.
Supports the development of processes and procedures for Data Governance and Stewardship.
Supports the analysis and documentation of data capture standards associated with new products.
Serves as a resource to internal stakeholders on more complex Data Governance solutions which optimize client requirements and achieve desired business results.
Escalates highly complex issues to management/Data Governance Council when necessary.

SQL skills or ability to learn are required.
Tableau and/or Business Objects skills are preferred.

- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) - Minimum Required
- 3 - 5+ Years of experience in the financial/retirement industry that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities of this position (Required )
Hybrid/Home : Employees will work from home generally three days each week and come into a Lincoln office on a schedule their manager will help set, following any applicable in-office training period determined by their manager.
