We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager to lead financial planning, forecasting and analysis (FP&A) client engagements at large banks and/or insurance companies, and to lead business development activities on strategic and priority accounts.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager in our Anaplan practice you will be expected to Lead financial planning, forecasting, and analysis (FP&A) project workstreams at large banks and/or insurance companies. Deliver high quality client solutions that meet and exceed client and EY expectations and are delivered on-time and on-budget. Manage client solution delivery, including defining project approach, leading and motivating project teams, monitoring and managing project risks, managing client and EY key stakeholders, and successfully delivering client solutions. Identifying new business opportunities, including building strong client relations, understanding client needs and EY solution offerings, communicating client opportunities to EY leadership, and helping develop client opportunities. Demonstrate deep technical capabilities and professional knowledge and stay current with industry and regulatory leading practices.

Skills and attributes for success

You will have previous Consulting experience, including assessments and implementations. Experience leading finance / FP&A workstream efforts. Documenting requirements and processes (e.g., process flows). Working collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You will have experience working in a team environment and exhibit leadership skills. You will possess excellent communication skills and an inclination to bond with the customer to provide an outstanding service delivery experience.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Minimum of 8 year of experience in the banking and/or insurance industry

  • Minimum of 4 year of consulting experience, providing advisory services. Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and management reporting areas preferred.

  • Other beneficial experience includes stress forecasting, management reporting, regulatory reporting, and/or related technology implementations.

  • B.A. / B.S. degree

Ideally, you'll also have

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Experience:

  • FP&A experience, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting (e.g., income statement forecasting, balance sheet forecasting, capital forecasting, aggregation, driver-based forecasting)

  • Financial services industry experience (e.g., retail banking, commercial banking, capital markets, life insurance, property and casualty insurance) Preferred but not required

  • Experience Anaplan implementing data and other technology solutions (e.g., Hyperion Planning, IBM Cognos TM1, SAP BPC)

Anaplan Experience :


  • Minimum Credentials Required: Level 2 Model Building Certification

  • Master Anaplanner certification and/or significant work experience driving development using Anaplan in complex business environments


  • Understanding of IT governance and operations, IT Controls (privacy, security, asset management)

  • Strong expertise and deep understanding of multi-dimensional modeling

  • Ability to translate from model-building in Excel to multi-dimensional technologies.

  • Experience with full system implementation life-cycles (analyze, design, build, test, implement, support)

  • Technical design and development experience using various use cases

  • Understanding of hardware, software systems, network technologies

  • Experience with Master Data Management


  • Management:

  • Experience of a leadership role in a matrix organization, managing multiple stakeholders and external partners/vendors in a complex environment

  • Must have ability to lead cross-functional project teams and motivate individuals without formal authority

  • Must have demonstrated leadership with ability to effectively interact and influence personnel of various levels and disciplines

  • Pipeline management, staffing, and utilization experience

  • Business Development:

  • Experience in the development of business plans for external and internal initiatives

  • Experience/Exposure in the growth of business with specific targets for multiple year outlooks

  • Experience developing/establishing alliance relationships with vendors

  • Experience in developing go-to-market strategies

  • Delivery:

  • Must have ability to identify and communicate key metrics and key performance indicators related to project activities to all levels of the organization

  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives with measurable results required

  • Experience in working with account Teams on staffing, delivery approach, and implementation

  • Experience conducting QAs and risk escalation activities
