THE TEAM

Strategic Workforce Planning & Analytics is a small collaborative community of individuals who are involved in high impact projects that lead change in the business. SWP&A partners with business and talent leaders in creating strategic solutions to ensure adequate and appropriately-skilled talent to execute upon business strategic priorities looking out the next several years.


THE CHALLENGE

With the changing workforce, we need to redefine how we think about talent and we are looking to onboard someone with advanced analytical capabilities and strategic thinking skills to help execute analyses to inform talent strategies. Currently, SWP&A is engaged on an enterprise-wide project to help business leaders understand the workforce impacts of rapidly changing workforce trends and business environment, in addition to special projects with executives across the business.


THE ROLE

Liberty Mutual's Strategic Workforce Planning & Analytics department is an integral partner in the development and execution of Liberty Mutual’s talent management strategy. As an Associate Consultant on the team, you will be engaged in developing and delivering insights for complex workforce planning projects and programs using inputs from a variety of data sources and consulting with our Talent & Business partners. Responsibilities will be commensurate with your skills, abilities, and development needs. Each team member works closely with the Engagement Leader as well as members of the client organization. All members of the team are involved in the analysis and development of reports and presentations for clients and other stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct complex quantitative & qualitative analyses to identify trends in workforce behaviors (i.e. attrition, retirement, movement). Incorporate information from various data sources, both internal and external, to support analysis.

  • Synthesize analyses, identify root cause(s) and develop recommendations to influence business solutions. Connect analysis to strategic client issues to support a compelling argument for action.

  • Develop project plans and timelines to support engagement efforts and assist in the smooth and thorough execution of projects. Deliver work in alignment with plans.

  • Lead special projects and assignments from scoping through implementation with limited coaching.

  • Lead the development of a compelling narrative through a data-driven process and transform complex data elements into a consumable format for various levels of management.

  • Facilitate conversations with data owners to ensure proper utilization and management of data and conduct follow-up analysis and data verification as needed to ensure accuracy.

  • Support the building of internal department resources for future engagements and special projects including the continued development and refinement of analytical models, key data sources, tools, templates and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years of work experience

  • Demonstrated ability to apply consultative mind-set, problem-solving and critical thinking

  • Advanced analytical and research skills

  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines as required

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft products such as Excel, Access and PowerPoint; SAS experience preferred

  • Ability to manage to deadlines with solid project management skills

  • Requires effective written and verbal communication skills, detail orientation, and the ability to quality check own work
