This is what you will do:
Reporting to the Head of Medical Platforms & Enablement in the newly formed Digital Innovation & Data Generation department, the Associate Director, Digital Technology Programs, will play a pivotal role in assessing, building and scaling digital capabilities and initiatives across Alexion Global Medical Affairs to support health stakeholder engagement needs. The incumbent will advance functional effectiveness through technology, partnerships, and omni-channel customer engagement, and will support technology-driven insight strategies. The position sits at the exciting intersection of technology, data and medical affairs capability and will play a transformational role in creating a digital-first mindset.
You will be responsible for:
Collaborating with medical affairs partners across the global, regional, and local levels as a digital innovation subject matter expert
Providing digital expertise to teams seeking to improve health stakeholder engagement and communication
Maintaining view of the competitive landscape and a broad perspective across pharma industry to identify and drive best practice around digital innovation
Identifying medical affairs stakeholder engagement needs that can be addressed through digital capabilities
Driving the development of medical affairs technology-enabled health stakeholder engagement initiatives
Assuming full program management accountability for digital initiatives from beginning to end assessment, budget preparation and justification, solution implementation, training and communication
Ensuring cross-functional teams are performing as expected
Leading projects with teams made up of cross-functional stakeholders and vendors.
Adhering to project specific governance ensuring compliance with SOPs
Monitoring project status and budget and provide regular reporting on progress, risks, and recommendations for course corrections
Managing digital and creative agencies to deliver on time, on budget, to agreed quality and in a compliant manner
You will need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in a life science or technology discipline
At least 7 years of relevant professional experience with the focus on technology and digital communications capabilities
Good understanding of the medical affairs function in a pharma company
Project management experience, including cross-functional team and vendor management
Experience with project budget planning, financial tracking and reporting
Track record of successful collaborations with both internal and external partners
Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills
