Position Summary:

The Associate Director, Enterprise Architecture utilizes their leadership expertise to design, plan, and governs strategic and cross-organizational optimization of the company's systems, processes, or components to deliver an architecture that supports the most efficient and secure IT environment meeting the company's business needs. Works with stakeholders to build a holistic view of the company's IT strategy, processes, information, and information technology assets. Ensures that the business and IT are in alignment by linking the business mission, strategy, and processes to IT strategy, and documents this using architectural models or views that show how the company's current and future IT needs will be met in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner. In addition s/he ensures solutions are designed for compliance with the organization's technology standards and works with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements of capabilities to support the business model.


  • Builds and maintains strong ongoing relationships with key business partners and managers within each business segments.

  • Builds relationships and trust with key business stakeholders to understand business strategy and future needs.

  • Communicates frequent updates and produces presentations to senior management on matters of strategic importance to the department, with senior leadership on matters of strategic importance.

  • Consults with senior leadership and IT leaders to develop project scopes and business cases that meet both business and IT strategies and roadmaps.

  • Consults with the Enterprise Level Architecture team to develop blueprints and roadmaps needed to achieve appropriate balance between IT efficiency and business innovation, allowing individual business units to innovate safely in their pursuit of competitive advantage.

  • Continually communicates and builds consensus with IT and business partners.

  • Develops and implements new products, processes, standards of operational plans that will impact the achievement of functional standards and principles throughout the organization.

  • Directs the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry, and market trends.

  • Facilitates the development and implementation of Enterprise Architecture standards and adoption of requirements.

  • Improves efficiencies by identifying cost saving projects and opportunities for the corporate business lines. ,Influences business decisions made by leadership.

  • Leads, guides, and mentors best practices, design standards, and implementation strategies.

  • Maintains a keen awareness of ever-developing industry methods, techniques, strategies and tools for risk and risk information, reporting recommendations regarding their adoption where applicable.

  • Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

  • Oversees the implementation and operation of Information Technology solutions.

  • Recommends and implements agreed process improvements to the Enterprise Architecture function.

  • Recommends operational strategies and plans with direct impact on the company's results.

  • Trains, mentors, and coaches colleagues and subordinates as needed.


Bachelor's Degree; Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science or a equivalent discipline.

Master's Degree; Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science or a equivalent discipline.,or equivalent work experience;

Work Experience:

12-15 years; Information Technology, Enterprise Architecture or a related field.

  • Ability to adjust to new developments/changing circumstances.

  • Ability to convey a sense of urgency and drive issues/projects to closure.

  • Ability to effectively interact with the market, executive management and vendors.

  • Ability to lead, mentor and guide peers, subordinates and management.

  • Ability to maintain and report on confidential information in an appropriate manner.

  • Ability to manage and motivate people, instill accountability, and achieve results.

  • Demonstrated applied knowledge of enterprise application delivery mechanisms and requirements.

  • Excellent time management, prioritization, communication, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Subject matter expert in all areas of enterprise architecture and business re-engineering principles and processes.

  • Subject matter expert of Master Data Management and Data Governance best practices.

  • Subject matter expert of applicable data privacy practices and information security practices.
