Design of novel, extreme environment ultracapacitor products
Energy storage packaging and internal/external termination design
Energy storage element, winding or stack, design
Electrochemical system design and evaluation to meet or improve upon performance parameters
Energy storage testing including EIS, FRA and cycle-testing
Design of Experiment, test reporting, hypothesis testing, failure analysis, root-cause analysis and corrective action identification
Support design improvements for manufacturing, support hand off of released designs to manufacturing and licensing partners
A systematic, patient pace with the emphasis on creative imaginative thought in order to get the job done right
Great deal of attention devoted to developing a creative solution to problems and decisions
The quality and correctness of decisions is more important than the speed with which decisions are made
Decisions must be made based on factual information, and cannot be rushed
Communication is reserved and strictly factual
Communicates with confidence once sure of the information
Leadership established by producing high quality, accurate product and processes
Devotion to the task supports and frames the leadership style
2-5 years in energy storage product design
Small form factor energy storage design
Ultracapacitor design experience
Experience with advanced electrolyte systems for ultracapacitors
Electrode design and fabrication experience is a plus
Experience with one or more of the following:
EDLC, ultracapacitor product design
Energy Storage cell or module design
Electrolyte chemistry design and development
