Job Description

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) Enterprise Integration is accountable for the Enterprise Integration department strategy and solution framework utilized to support new business implementation and product offerings and is the primary internal and external business leader for new business implementations. This role leads the planning, advocacy, and the cross functional implementation of product offerings that meet the needs of various market channels. The AVP ensures implementation outcomes are consistent with client expectations, compliance requirements and contractual obligations.


  • Lead cross-departmental calibration of the financial and procedural information tied to new business implementations: including pipeline assessment, implementation project estimates, internal and external implementation strategy, resource requirements, framework evolution/deployment, training, execution and continuous quality improvement

  • Lead the execution of a cross-functional and multi-organizational implementation strategy of Blue Cross Blue Shield health plans, Direct-to-Employer national accounts, and government programs (Medicare and Medicaid)

  • Act as the primary liaison between Strategic Business Units and Integration Department (including General Management from Medicare, Medicaid, Health Insurance Marketplace and Commercial)

  • Lead the Request for Proposal (RFP) responses and sales support for new business implementations and finalist presentations

  • Develop, support and drive communication on all implementation activity, both strategic and operational, on Prime’s Senior Leadership Team including responsibility for executive communications/presentations

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related area of study or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required

  • 12 years of experience in the areas of quality improvement, or business analysis

  • 8 years of leadership/people management experience

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading highly complex integrations and new business implementations; exceptional collaboration, leadership, consultation, conflict resolution, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to lead and drive change

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form, with all levels of the organization and external contacts

  • Strong decision maker with the ability to determine action, execution and promote clear accountability, and focus towards achieving business objectives

  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or related area of study

  • 7 years of managed care or Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) experience

  • Project management experience

  • Business consulting experience

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

  • Must be able to work outside Prime’s core business hours (9 AM – 4 PM)

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to VP Operations

Potential pay for this position ranges from $156,000.00 - $249,200.00 based on location, experience and skills.
