Aqueduct Technologies Inc. AWS Cloud Engineer/Developer in Boston, Massachusetts
Aqueduct Technologies is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer for their customer, a reputable financial organization, based in Boston, MA. This organization is seeking an exceptional AWS Cloud Application Developer to design and develop critical, high performing, secure cloud applications and services to orchestrate the company processes. You will be joining a small, cohesive team of highly productive, quality-focused peers delivering a mission-critical system; the team works collaboratively with many other groups across the organization. This is a permanent, salaried position.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop cloud-native applications, migrating legacy applications and helping to evaluate a variety of cloud computing services to deliver the organizations next generation platform
Develop REST based APIs and services used by other teams at the company to drive their processes; the engineer?s contribution will extend beyond just technical implementation of an interface
Take a sense of ownership in setting policy, negotiating contracts, documentation and versioning to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability
Think defensively to ensure system integrity while maintaining a customer service focus
Define how the system leverages serverless compute to optimize scalability
Work with third party vendors to integrate purchased solutions to replace legacy code
Participate in all scrum ceremonies, code reviews and design sessions
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor?s (Master?s preferred) degree in Computer Engineering or a related field
At least 8 years of solid object-oriented full stack development
At least 4 years developing AWS Cloud Native Solutions
Comfortable with all aspects of Agile Development & CICD Pipelines (?everything as code?)
Ability to work effectively in a globally distributed, high-performing and cross-functional team
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and problem analysis capabilities
Structured approach to troubleshooting
Preferred: AWS Certification, .NET Core 3.1, Angular/React, SQL, Financial Services Experience, Familiarity working in a regulated industry
Technical Requirements: AWS Lambda & API Gateway; SNS, SES, SQS; EKS/ECS; AWS CLI; S3/Glacier; Code Deploy; Fargate/Docker/Kubernetes; Terraform/CloudFormation; CloudWatch/ELK; JFrog Artifactory; Python/C#; Swagger; Container Registry Image; Jira/Conflunce; SCRUM/Kanban; GitLab/Azure DevOps; Ansible; Blue Green Deployment.
Ability to be on site in Boston on an as needed basis
