IBM is looking for an AWS Enterprise Architect whose primary responsibility will be to solution Amazon Web Services Federal offerings integrated with IBM Managed Services for our clients. This is a new business sales support technical position and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, being the subject matter expert on AWS implementations for EC2, S3, Route53, IAM, SNS, SQS, RDS, VPC, Glacier, and the integration of those services as well as other AWS offerings (Gov Cloud, East/West). In addition, this SME will interface with the MSCS Federal Infrastructure Managed Services (FIMS) team to ensure managed service capability for clients hosted in the Amazon Federal cloud. The AWS Enterprise Architect will also interface with senior business leaders within MSCS to ensure our AWS capabilities are aligned to MSCS’ overall cloud strategy, assist in development of marketing materials, and be the technical evangelist supporting IBM’s Go-to-Market and account leaders working directly with potential and existing clients. The AWS Enterprise architect will work across MSCS teams including other architects in support of bid and proposal efforts, engineers in support of new client onboarding and capability development, delivery teams as a tier 3 escalation point of contact, and business leaders to advise on strategy, training, and skill development of our staff. Work is located in Boulder, CO; Raleigh, NC; Herndon, VA; or Houston, TX.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Active Top Secret Security Clearance
AWS Certified Solution Architect – Associate or AWS Certificated SysOps Administrator
3 years experience architecting, implementing and managing environments with AWS.
Experience with AWS, IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and RDS offerings.
3 years experience migrating client workloads into AWS from other clouds (public or private) as well as traditional on-premise solutions
3 years experience managing client workloads across multiple AWS availability zones and regions
3 years experience integrating AWS offerings such as Cloudwatch and Cloudtrail with other monitoring tools via API
3 years experience automating deployment and management of AWS workloads via API, integration tools, or other methods
3 years experience managed service experience (e.g. performing systems administration, monitoring, NOC/SOC/EOC, Service Desk)
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
2 or more years of experience with Advanced Architecting on AWS
2 or more years of experience with additional AWS services such as Glacier, RedShift, Lambda, Directory Services, SNS, SQS, Snowmobile, Snowball, Direct Connect, and familiarity with Marketplace offerings.
2 or more years of experience experience managing AWS GovCloud
Skills in a formal PM discipline (PMI or other PM accreditation is a plus)
Experience with Federal Government contracts, including security compliance guidelines for NIST 800-53 moderate and high impact baselines
ITIL V3 Certification preferred
Experience working with managed service providers on top of AWS IaaS/PaaS offerings
