Introduction

As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Azure Lead Architect leads platform architects to ensure value proposition, and technical capabilities for hybrid cloud seamless integration with the Microsoft Azure platform native services and capabilities. IBM Azure Lead Architect, is a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Experience owning the End to End technical solution of the overall Cloud Migration & Modernization effort

• Known as recognized Thought Leader, with proven track record driving pattern identification and estimation of the application workloads, migrated & modernized to the target Cloud environment

• Acts as SME with high understanding in identifying application module based SOE, SOI, SOR and leads modernization design as continuous modernization and modular modernization

• Acts as a Trusted advisor for the client by listening to their pain points and considering the industry the client sits in

• Design Modernization strategy and identifying the need for containerization, API, Microservices creation or other forms of Modernization

• Interfaces with client executive(s) to clarify technical program status in a clear and concise manner

• Simplifies the solution approach by adopting a continuous modernization method

• Promotes innovation across the solution and delivery phases by leading the Design thinking workshops and leveraging Agile methodologies

• Acts as SME on at least two modernization assessment and execution tools

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 10+ years of experience as an Architect with 5+ years of Cloud experience

• Experience effectively integrating new/existing systems that eliminated potential problems and maintained data structure and integrity

• Deep practical experience in containerization of applications leveraging OpenShift and Kubernetes

• Experience simplifying the solution approach by adopting a continuous modernization method

• Experience mapping client platform and application deployment requirements into Cloud platform specific services and configuration, knowledge of service catalogue

• Azure AZ301 Certification and /or Azure AZ-303

• Experience leading Design Thinking Workshops leveraging Agile methodologies

• Experience in creating technical elements of project plan WBS/Sprint planning, estimation, Modernization risk and dependencies

• Deep practical experience Container deployment on Azure and DevOps

• Lead teams within Global/multi-vendor environments

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Possess confident analytical, creative, problem-solving and critical thinking skills

• Other Cloud Platform Certifications are a plus: AWS, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud

• Thought leader

• Detail-oriented, providing suggestions and solutions in areas of software development, use and maintenance

• Worked alongside Executive and VP level clients

• Experience supporting sales and presenting in client orals

• Team player and team leadership

• Excellent Communication skills
