Commonwealth Care Alliance Business Continuity Director in Boston, Massachusetts
Why This Role is Important to Us:
The Business Continuity Director develops and manages a comprehensive Crisis Management and Business Continuity program for the organization. This role plays a critical role in the execution to build, mitigate, and continually strengthen the organization’s resilience in the face of potential disruptions. This role is central to maturity of the function, diligent planning, and coordination, as well as execution.

What You'll Be Doing:
In relation to both Crisis Management and Business Continuity:
Lead the construction and maintenance of the overall program
Identify and evaluate potential threats, which may cause or lead to a crisis or potential disruption
Develop and manage clear, accurate, and reliable documentation – including, but not limited to, Crisis Management Policy, Crisis Management Plan, Business Continuity Plans
Lead, supervise, or coordinate cross-functional teams charged with preparation or response to crises or business disruptions
Assure high level of collaboration and communication with stakeholders across the organization, inclusive of Executive Leadership, IT, Risk, Compliance, HR, and Business Areas.
Lead organizational training and education initiatives, as needed
Lead or coordinate testing, risk assessments, and business impact assessments; review results and implement ongoing improvements
Assure plans meet regulatory requirements and contractual obligations
What We're Looking For:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (or similar) required
Education Desired:
Master’s degree preferred
Licensing Desired (Not Required):
Certified Business Continuity Professional, or similar certification
Experience:
- 7-10 years’ experience working in Business Continuity or related function, with demonstrated progression of responsibilities
Experience Desired:
- Healthcare payer or provider experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Leadership without formal authority; proven collaborator who has experience achieving results working with departments that are not directly managing
Executive presence and ability to engage with all levels of the organization
High level of maturity and integrity
