Duration: 3+ Months, 37.5 hours per week


Our client is looking for technical Business Analyst with at least five years of experience to develop business requirements for a registration process for the Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) program. The BA will work with business stakeholders, technical, development and third-party solutions provider to ensure that requirements are documented, communicated and implemented properly in a cloud-based solution.

The Business Analyst assists the project champion and others in with the following:

  • Collaborate with internal business units and external stakeholders to conduct business, data, metadata, and technology analysis to help develop business and data requirements in an agile delivery environment. The work involves documenting and analyzing process flows, data/metadata analysis, use cases, architecture views, system maps, technical specifications, user story creation, and improvement recommendations.

  • Design and execute testing plans to assure the functionality meet business requirements and quality standards. The work involves developing testable requirements, establishing and executing testing plans and specific test cases, training users to perform user acceptance tests, and working with users and developers to address issues from test results.

  • Prepare and make presentations to stakeholders and IT staff.

  • Maintain records of time spent on assigned tasks and provide information as required for project management and other administrative purposes.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze business and user needs, document requirements;

  • Create process change through the integration of new processes with existing ones and communication of changes to business users;

  • Recommend and facilitate quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications Required

  • Demonstrated proficiency with business systems analysis and translating customer needs into well-formed and documented use cases.

  • Ability to analyze requirements (e.g., business, functional, system) to identify and eliminate ambiguity.

  • Ability to produce clear and concise functional documentation.

  • Proven experience working with collaborative teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously; exhibits flexibility and tolerance for ambiguity with the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing business environment; self-starter; and results oriented.

  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal (smiles often), problem solving skills.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Business Analyst.
