Seniorlink/Caregiver Homes Business Intelligence Developer II in Boston, Massachusetts

The Business Intelligence Developer II will join Seniorlink’s core Data and Analytics Team working closely with the Senior Business Intelligence Developer and key stakeholders. This position will integrate data from each of Seniorlink’s platforms supporting its Care Plus and Care Share businesses including Seniorlink’s own Vela Caregiver platform and its Salesforce-based case-management solution. This role will balance time between the creation and maintenance of standard reports and participation in more general analytics and reporting projects using SQL and reporting tools such as Tableau or PowerBI as the business requires. This role will access a variety of data technologies through SQL including traditional relational databases, Redshift, and Amazon Athena which are supported by our data engineering team. The BI Developer II will interact with and communicate insights to internal stakeholders supporting Clinical, Operations, Marketing, Sales and Service divisions.

  • Work mainly with well-defined datasets and collaborate with senior BI developers on larger, more complex datasets to develop new insights

  • Meet directly with business leaders to understand the solutions and use cases for data and reporting

  • Design and implement reports/dashboards to communicate insights

  • Communicate insights effectively to BI leaders and get buy-in from stakeholders as needed

  • Identify data integrity issues and work with key stakeholders to ensure data issues are fixed

  • Ensure reporting and analytics environment adheres to HIPAA standards

  • Translate data requirements obtained from senior BI developers to create specification documents; collaborate with data engineers to ensure data requirements are met in their platforms

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics/Statistics or any related quantitative discipline or equivalent work experience

  • Strong ability to write well-formed SQL to query data

  • 4-6 years of dashboards, report creation experience

  • 2+ years of using tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Qlikview, Looker, etc preferred

  • Good understanding of databases, data marts, data modeling, data warehouses

  • Good understanding of Big Data systems and associated tools

  • Previous experience working with analytical tools such as Python or R is a bonus

  • Salesforce experience and knowledge is a plus

  • Knowledge of healthcare data analysis domain is a big plus
