WW Digital and Application Innovation Customer Success consumption strategy team is seeking an experienced Consumption Architect to develop, deliver and execute business strategy for building Low code applications for our customers with Microsoft PowerApps and Microsoft Teams. The role is structured on achieving or exceeding our consumption goals for Digital and App Innovation, with an emphasis on PowerApps. This strategic, field facing role is accountable for the end-to-end strategy, which is implemented by the field Cloud Solution Architects, Customer Engineers and Managers . The role is responsible for developing consumption strategy and scale motions for our enterprise customers working across Microsoft Commercial Solution Areas of Digital and Application Innovation, Business Applications and Modern Workplace.
As a Consumption Architect in a global role within the Customer Success HQ team you will be critical and visible leader with the opportunity to influence senior leaders in the business. You willl partner closely with stakeholders including senior leaders in the Product Group, Marketing (BG), Global Partner Solutions (GPS), Azure Solutions (STU), Finance, Field Roles, and other Enterprise business units to shape & execute Microsoft Power Apps and Microsoft Teams consumption strategy and motions.
As the Consumption Architect you will have:
Executive Presence & Business Acumen – Executive presence to build confidence and trust with corporate and field partners and drive field and engineering relationships across Microsoft to ensure we are focused on building strategy which helps our customers build apps on our low code platforms and help them realize faster time to value.
Consumption Strategy Development & Consumption Leadership: Manage and deliver PowerApps Consumption motions and accelerate PowerApps Consumed revenue for App Innovation. Maximize consumption synergy by partnering with internal stakeholders and business sponsors via knowledge transfer and best practices sharing. Influence and shape field role design blueprints/compensation and target setting for App Innovation CSA’s during planning cycles. Leverage competitive industry knowledge to devise our strategic roadmaps and evolve our customer offerings, IP development and consumption motions to our field CSU Community.
Business Performance: Define and own business performance and success metrics. Run the monthly/quarterly business rhythms with stakeholders and scrum as needed to unblock customers. Gather and report customer patterns & insights that helps continuous strategy improvement and sustained consumption growth.
Community Advocacy & Change Management : Lead & deliver PowerApps consumption plays to Digital and App Innovation field community, as the lead consumption architect, strategist, define consumption playbook which includes value propositions & objections. Develop strategies and landing models to effectively scale existing andintroduce new program concepts across enterprise customer segments and Partner/Channel communities by partnering with Consumption Execution lead.
Field Readiness & Immersion: Ensure successful rollouts across the world to help land Customer Success initiatives/readiness plans. Includes as appropriate engagement in virtual training, executive meetings, field readiness events, etc. Teach & coach WW Customer Success Managers and Architects in App Innovation teams to ensure quality and performance is elevated and optimized. Service as voice of field, customer, & partner by establishing field relationships and ongoing engagement to formalize connection channels, listening systems, escalation management, and field council.
Closed Feedback Loop: Facilitate and deliver closed feedback loop with key executive sponsors, field leadership, and cross-organizational partners including Engineering, Product Marketing, WW Customer Success, Global Partner Solutions, and Services.
8+ years of consulting experience in the enterprise segment, working directly with large customers.
5+ years of experience in cloud application development technologies (Containers, AppService, Serverless, APIM, Azure Data services, Microsoft Power Platform, GitHub/DevOps)
5+ years of technical program or product management experience which include designing, building, and executing highly successful global strategy and programs at scale.
5+ years of experience in designing and implementing cloud best practices (e.g. deployment, architecting, provisioning, Cloud adoption framework, devops and optimization.)
Deep experience in managing and deploying programmatic strategies to the field. You will own the end-to-end planning & strategy for PowerApps & Teams for digital and App innovation.
Go-Getter who is an influential leader with the ability to get things done. You will be able to separate what's important from what's urgent and find the path forward from among multiple scenarios, earn the trust and thrive on ambiguity to deliver business outcomes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentations and demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges. Know how and when to summarize and escalate issues.
Self-directed, team player: if I don’t know how to get something done, I’ll find someone at Microsoft that does. You need to love spreadsheets and PBI as you will own the insights based on data.
Experience in developing low code applications using Google AppSheets or AWS Honeycode is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; MS / MBA preferred.
Moderate travel required.
