JOB DESCRIPTION:
Business Strategy and Initiatives
Drives execution of key strategic initiatives and projects. Particular areas of focus include: Operational Excellenceacross Legal; LegalTechnology Initiatives Portfolio; Project Management of Strategic Projects; and Process Improvement. This role will also drive reporting and analytical efforts and leads the design, development, execution and continuous improvement of day to day operations.
Responsibilities:
Manage and drive Operational Excellence initiatives for Legal;Operational Excellence is fundamental in driving responsible growth and defining how we manage the company.
Manage the technology Initiatives portfolio and put in place structure to prioritize initiatives and implement tech strategy for the department.
Drive new reporting capabilities across the department to provide analytics on Legal department’s performance as well as data to help manage and identify areas of future Legal risks.
Oversight of Legal processes, support process owners in their role, assess efficiency opportunities and design solutions to improve productivity, streamline existing functions and reduce risk.
Project management oversight of strategic projects.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
5-7 Years of professional/demonstrated work experience within financial services industry preferably in COO function
Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, constantly seeks to learn and advance his/her knowledge, and be able to communicate effectively in a matrix organization
Excellent business partnering skills with ability to influence
Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with experience interacting with senior executives
Ability to work independently, manage time and multiple priorities effectively
Ability to create presentations and communicate a cohesive story to senior leaders in a clear, concise, and meaningful way; strong meeting facilitation and presentation skills
Highly organized, ability to simultaneously prioritize and handle high volume of tasks and time-sensitive issues, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Project Management Experience; Ability to manage a project from beginning to end
Actively seeks opportunities to simplify and improve current control processes through use of automation, emerging technologies, and process re-design
Ability to constructively challenge quality of information and escalate/debate risks and issues
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Prior experiences in leading strategic initiatives/projects across the enterprise
Knowledge and experience within a COO function
Knowledge of and experience with enterprise policies, programs, procedures, and systems
