The Cerner/PathNet Applications Development Specialist is responsible for:
Providing support to Cerner Millennium PathNet modules within Cerner Millennium systems which support Department of Laboratory Medicine in the hospital.
Specifying, designing, testing and implementing software solutions that support the needs of the department considering the individual goals and objectives of each entity.
Participating in standards for development, and may make application processing and design recommendations both within the department and to application users in the hospital.
Providing analytical and technical guidance to members of the lab and other departments.
Producing written documentation for new and existing processes, applications and workflow.
Supporting applications on 24 x 7 basis.
To qualify, you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or clinical laboratory science or a closely related field required.
3 – 4 years’ experience in a Clinical Lab or Cerner Millennium PathNet or Cerner Millennium.
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
