Role Summary:

In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of the HR function across GE as we transition to our new Human Capital Management (HCM) ‘cloud’ solution.

Essential Responsibilities:

As our Change Management Leader, you will collaborate with the dedicated HCM deployment team, our global HR teams, and the Systems Integrator (SI) to design, develop and deploy the Change Roadmap focusing on the people side of change across organizational structure, roles and job content, business processes, systems, and technologies. This role isn’t for the feint-hearted; you’ll disrupt, re-imagine and deploy contemporary HR practices and processes across the globe.

You will have overall accountability for the Change Roadmap for our global Workday deployment and will act as an integral part of the Project Kumo (HCM deployment) leadership team. You will ultimately engage and inspire our people to adopt new ways of working by:

  • Leading the design, development & execution of our Change Roadmap

  • Define and deliver critical activities that support sustainable changes in the way our people work through organizational alignment, stakeholder engagement & awareness, communications, training, and knowledge transfer

  • Foreseeing and proactively addressing potential challenges and pitfalls that may arise throughout the Workday implementation

  • Gathering support and buy-in for the Workday implementation across various stakeholder groups by clearly articulating the shared vision and answering the question “what’s in it for me“

  • Driving decision making, and issue resolution related to our Change program, sharing and escalating status, decisions, and issues with the Project Kumo leadership team

  • Building change management capabilities across the HR team globally by engaging and building communities of HCM evangelists to amplify awareness and adoption globally

  • Partnering closely with our Functional Architect & Mission-Based Team (MBT) Leaders to understand the critical needs of our persona groups and enabling their ability to drive the necessary levels of awareness and adoption to ensure the successful on-time, within-budget deployment of their respective HCM modules

  • Leading our dedicated Project Kumo communications resource, ensuring an innovative, contemporary and comprehensive plan that includes a broad range of communication channels, meeting the needs of all stakeholders from hourly to salaried workers, candidates to retirees, office-based to field-based, and everything in between

  • Ensuring a comprehensive transition to the transformed process/experience owners that leads to a steady state post-implementation


You will have a proven track-record in delivering cloud-based HCM deployments at scale in a large, global organization. You’ll also need the following:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with an emphasis in change management, organizational development, psychology, organizational behavior, HR, training development.

  • 15+ years of related work experience

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job

  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time

  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Boston, MA.

Desired Characteristics:

  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing and deploying effective change management strategies supporting HCM implementations within a complex, global organization

  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools

  • Broad and deep understanding of HR practices and processes and the inter-relationships between each of the HR domains

  • Proven ability to engage and influence at all levels of an organization

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

  • Passion for managing and influencing change
