Cloud Architect/Azure

job summary:

The Cloud Architect will be working closely with leaders across our technology department driving our cloud strategy. The Cloud Architect bridges the gap between business and technology speaking the value of cloud. The Cloud Architect must combine a deep understanding of technology, applications, industry best practices, business processes and architectural patterns to drive IT transformation initiatives that meet the business objectives.

The Cloud Architect is a subject matter expert in cloud technologies and is responsible for the design, implementation, and effective and efficient maintenance of related technologies. In addition, this individual must have expert knowledge of Infrastructure Systems technologies, with a firm understanding of related disciplines and how they interoperate.

Ideal candidates will be seasoned technology professional who not only possess deep experience with technology transformation but also significant experience in applications and how we transform from traditional on-prem to cloud solutions.

responsibilities:

• Serves as key subject matter expert in the field of cloud technologies, maintaining a deep understanding of the field and its related technologies.

• Proactively develops and maintains strong knowledge of the client's Cloud strategy and their related components, and makes recommendations to improve the reliability, scalability, performance, or security of these systems as appropriate. This includes proactive performance tuning and capacity analysis to ensure the client is maximizing its technology investment.

• Lead and execute with a cloud first mind set helping the client benefit from cloud based architectures.

• Conduct repeatable strategic, architecture, roadmap and planning workshops.

• Provide expertise in Azure and Hybrid Cloud.

• Provide assessment of current state architecture and recommendation of future state architecture.

• Provide roadmap and migration methodology and identify quick wins.

Advise on organizational impact of solutions.
