Bank of America Community Reinvestment Act, Senior Officer in Boston, Massachusetts
Partners with multiple lines of business and control partners to ensure company delivers on Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) mandates and expectations.
Identifies opportunities for responsible growth within the enterprise, while achieving regulatory goals. Responsible for conducting enterprise analysis, industry analysis, research analysis and business forecasts. Responsible for tactical and strategic analytics.
Assesses bank performance for low and moderate income (LMI) individuals and in LMI areas in order to determine and advise business partners to achieve best CRA outcome.
Acts as a LMI subject matter expert and assess brand/business/regulatory opportunities and consequences to LMI indivduals and communities.
Provides risk awareness while developing and communicating mitigation opportunities for business partner consideration; influences risk response.
Pivots between priorities while managing to deadlines and delivering key messages succiently.
Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies.
Exercises judgment and influences business managers and peers to ensure enforcement of risk/regulatory programs, balancing business strategy with appropriate risk management controls.
Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills; must have the ability to analyze large quantities of data and draw succinct conclusions consistent with management strategy; and must be able to influence decisions.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong proven analytical and problem solving skills
Able to manage, mine, analyze and draw conclusions on large volumes of industry and internal data to create meaningful analysis in support of business strategy and decisioning
Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, advanced formulas, advanced charting and macro creation
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong Power Point development and presentation skills
Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Visio
Strong bias for action; results oriented with an ability to manage to deadlines
Ability to keep abreast of regulatory environment and analyze impact to business
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and partner across organizational or functional boundaries with the ability to influence others
Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience
Desired Skills & Experience
Ability to adapt to a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
Technical knowledge of CRA and HMDA regulations and use of CRAWiz a plus
Able to perform tasks autonomously with guidance provided in more complex situations
Experience in economics and statistics
Continuously seeks process improvement
Able to articulate regulatory guidelines and effect on lending, investment, and services
Possesses leadership ability to perform primary responsibilities as well as ability to support a collaborative team environment
Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence decisions
Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics or Finance preferred
