<h1><strong>Corporate Communications Senior Manager (Engineering Organization)</strong></h1>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Wayfair is seeking a creative problem-solver with strong project management skills to join its Internal Communications Strategy team to focus exclusively on our 3,000+ person global Engineering organization. The Internal Communications team serves as Wayfair’s mouthpiece to help foster a global community, support culture, and drive change. This is a high visibility role, working closely with Wayfair’s Chief Technology Officer and leadership team to craft impactful internal communications strategies which will enable Wayfair’s hypergrowth and technology innovation.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, excel in quantitative and qualitative analysis, and comfortably tackle ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. You are hyper-focused on using data to understand and amplify company culture and consistently develop solutions using a lens of equity and inclusion. In this position, you will report to the Head of Technical Talent Development with a dotted line into the Global Internal Communications Team and will be based at Wayfair’s Boston headquarters when it is safe to do so.</span></p>

<h2><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h2>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Drive the strategy and execution of CTO and organization-wide communications efforts to support the implementation of key engineering&nbsp; initiatives</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Develop an internal communications strategy for Engineering leaders to ensure that their teams are informed and inspired about the work they do and that the rest of the organization knows about engineering priorities and achievements</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Synthesize complex information and data to develop clear and compelling content that resonates with employees</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Serve as subject matter expert and thought partner to senior Engineering leaders on a wide range or communications needs</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Partner closely with Internal Communications team to ensure we have alignment and cohesion between the engineering communications roadmap and company wide initiatives</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Draft, review, and edit communications and content for the CTO leadership team</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manage logistics and develop engaging content for engineering all-hands meeting</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Regularly track and report on success measures and key performance indicators</span></li>

<h2><strong>What You’ll Need</strong></h2>

<ul>

<li><span style="font-weight: 400;">5+ years of relevant experience (employee communications, corporate communications, public relations, brand management, etc.)</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Superb writing skills with the ability to&nbsp; articulate in the employee voice by distilling complex ideas into simple and compelling communications</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Demonstrated mastery of end-to-end content creation</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Executive presence and comfort working with C-level leaders&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize and execute efficiently when priorities shift</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Energized by working cross-functionally and building strong partnerships</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Self-starter focused on delivering results - never satisfied with the status quo</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Grasps new information, recognizes own strengths and weaknesses, pursues self-development, and seeks feedback</span></li>
