Data Excellence is the transversal team within the SE Global Chief Data Office team that, through the implementation of the Data Excellence Operating Model (DeXOM), fosters a Schneider wide data driven culture. The evolution of Data Excellence in Schneider requires careful design and detailed patterns of implementation, the Data Excellence Architect is expected to take forward the foundation work so far undertaken and support the overall Data Strategy of the CDO.

Duties and responsibilities
Creation and design of Information, Metadata and Data Architecture solutions or “products” by leveraging skills and experience across information, processes, businesses, applications, integrations, security and infrastructure, and in collaboration with business stakeholders, solution architects, product owners and development teams.
As example, produce (amongst others):
Conceptual and Logical Data Models
Connection between Logical and Physical data models
Support the evolution of existing Information Architecture Frameworks, and the gathering of best practices to progress the maturity of the organisation.
Lead initiatives to increase the awareness and embedding of those frameworks and best practices across the organisation.
Support strategic projects (customer centricity, supply chain, product positioning, sales efficiency, commercial performance etc…) by enabling them to use high quality data.
Creation and implementation of processes to collect and maintain data asset inventories across the Schneider and ensuring they are standardised and recorded for re-use.
Design and develop a strategy for data retention and archiving.
As overall mandates, drive standardization and simplification across the enterprise, lowering cost, improving quality and value of data assets.* *
Work in close collaboration with the Digital Data Hub teams driving forces behind digital transformation solutions.
Work with change teams driving strategic transformation programmes, in order to ensure they use the right data and that their knowledge and outcome of those programmes is standardised and re-used.
Work with the rest of the Data Excellence team to assist in development of the Data Excellence Operating Model, supporting on the delivery of data design solutions and the succeeding creation of new conceptual and logical data models and the
Work with the IT function providing subject matter expertise and producing design related artefacts.
Support the Data Management Operations and Data Security teams Operations in triage, troubleshooting and system optimisation
Skills and Qualifications
In-depth experience of designing and implementing information & data solutions including data/information modelling expertise at the enterprise level
Experience in the design and construction of information architectures that enable well-integrated transactional, collaborative and analytical systems
Good understanding of the different data management disciplines, such as Data Quality, Data Architecture and Modelling, Data Governance, Data Privacy, Data Protection and Data Control.
Good knowledge of metadata solutions (Data Governance tools, Data Quality Tools, Data Modelling tools, GDPR related tools)
Good knowledge on data maturity models (DCAM, DAMA, etc…)
Very good stakeholder management
Very good communication skills
Understanding of regulatory challenges around information assets, such as GDPR, data retention policies, outsourced data and industry-specific guidelines.
Provide expertise on Data Management capabilities and be an advocate for information architecture across the organization.
