Ready to act Right Now, for Tomorrow? * *Job Description * This data integration engineer position is responsible for the effort to design, develop, implement, manage and support enterprise level ELT processes and environments. This person must have domain and tool experience. *Function * * Plan and conduct development work on projects necessitating the origination and application of new and unique approaches * Translate business requirements into data models that drive Data Warehouse or Data Mart design and configuration * Work with cross-functional teams to gather, document, and approve business requirements for data analysis and reporting projects * Translate business requirements into system design specification to manage data pipelines * Design, develop and implement data integration processes to transform unstructured and disparate source data into the target Data Stores, Data Warehouses and / or Data Marts * Oversee implementation and maintenance of ELT processes that support feature development and testing * Monitor ELT processes and implement tuning as needed to address scalability, recoverability and performance impediments * Provide 24x7 support to ensure availability of BI environments for internal and external users *Do you tick all the boxes? Join a rewarding and flexible work environment that encourages innovation and creativity and help us meet the energy challenges of today and tomorrow. * BS in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts for OLTP and OLAP databases * Knowledge of Snowflake, Redshift, SQL Server or other RDBMS database instance * Minimum 3 years overall work experience as a developer building data pipelines * Minimum 3 years experience with SQL database development or other comparable environment * Minimum 3 years with data warehouse implementations * Minimum 3 years experience working with users in a requirements analysis role * Hands-on experience using Snowflake with cloud-based resources (e.g. Javascript Stored Procedures, AWS Resources, NoSQL Databases, JSON/XML data formats) a plus * Hands-on experience with AWS data integration techniques a plus * Knowledge of Data Modeling concepts, designs and techniques * Knowledge of Data Warehouse project lifecycle, tools, technologies, best practices * Demonstrative ability to develop complex SQL queries and Stored Procedures * Experience performance tuning and testing integration pipelines and associated code * Strong ability to problem-solve, troubleshoot, and apply root cause analysis * Ability to thrive in a fast paced remote environment with minimal direction, and tight deadlines * Excellent verbal and written communication abilities * Desire to work in a highly collaborative environment Equal Employment Opportunity All employment decisions shall be made without regard to age, race, creed, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, disability status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, marital status, citizenship status or any other basis as protected by federal, state, or local law.
