Schneider Electric Data Quality Expert, Digital Data Hub in Boston, Massachusetts

Job purpose

The Digital Data Hub of Schneider Electric creates value and efficiency by providing business leaders with high quality information to make better decisions, faster. Having well-governed and managed data will improve our customer experience and in turn grow our digital sales and core offers. With the variety, volume and velocity of data in today’s world, and to prepare for its future, the Digital Data Hub provides the capabilities and platforms to eliminate data silos, perform the foundational data management activities regarding customer, product and vendor data, and transform our data culture to reinforce the behaviors required to sustain data excellence in our daily data operations across Schneider. As we continue to build our new capabilities to meet our mandate, a special focus and priority is being given to Data Quality Management.

To strengthen our data foundations and culture, Schneider Digital is looking for Data Quality Issue Management Leader whose mission is to implement and manage a new data quality management process. The process allows any user to raise data quality issues and ask for data remediation. To ensure that this process is always bringing as much value as possible, we would work in an agile mode for this data quality process where someone could raise data quality issues to the relevant data quality product owner.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Identify and lead root cause and corrective action plans (RCCA) for data quality issues pertaining to finance domain

  • Building action plan - detailed tasks - for issue fixing (standardization upade, data cleansing, rule change in source system)

  • Orchestrating relevant communities for issue fixing

  • Defining, with product owner & source systems/countries experts, standardization rules where needed

  • Following up action plans with relevant stakeholders

  • Testing data quality fixes implemented

  • Closing data quality issues raised

  • Manage a tool environment supporting our data quality processes

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct RCCA investigations with an issue resolution mindset

  • Knowledge of finance or supply chain domain

  • Basic knowledge of technical databases (e.g. SQL language)

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed & culturally diverse global environment
  • Program/project management certification (PMP, Prince2, Agile) is a plus

  • Proven ability to communicate with business stakeholders and ability to transform business acumen into technical requirements.

  • Strong organizational influence and interpersonal skills

  • Proven history of solving problems for teams
  • Comfortable to accept frequent re-prioritisation of responsibilities and role mandate. change in accordance with business requirements in an AGILE organisation undergoing multi-speed digital transformation.
  • Demostrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work within a defined timebox
  • Proven ability to handle and maintain confidential information.


  • 5+ years of working experience in relevant domain areas (e.g. finance, commercial, supply chain, engineering)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college

  • Fluent in English
