The DevSecOps Engineer is a key role within our DevSecOps team. This team is responsible for the availability, security, and overall performance of BCBSMA’s DevSecOps pipeline reporting into the Sr. Manager of DevSecOps. BCBSMA utilizes AWS as our primary Cloud hosting provider with other services running on Google and Microsoft Clouds. BCBSMA is at the start of our Cloud hosting journey.
This role will work with a small in-sourced team and outsourced support technicians to deploy new services within AWS. This role is responsible for onboarding applications into our new DevSecOps platform in alignment with business needs. This person along with his/her peers will onboard applications and continuously improve our DevSecOps pipeline while balancing the need for speed, scalability, and cost optimization. BCBSMA is looking to expand our Cloud presence where it makes business and technical sense.
Currently, BCBSMA hosts our Big Data and DevSecOps environment’s s within AWS. This engineer role will manage can continuously improve our DevSecOps tools. BCBSMA is looking to expand the use of our DevSecOps pipeline, and we understand every application is different. This role will understand the initial onboarding and on-ongoing support requirements for applications migrating to our new CI/CD platform. He or she will work with business partners, internal stakeholders, and service providers to build and maintain our DevSecOps capabilities.
This person will manage and optimize our DevSecOps monitoring and reporting tools. In addition to pipeline engineering, Cloud security compliance and IT administrative controls are critical services this person will enable. Performance, security, and financial metrics for our DevSecOps environment need to be matured and communicated to key stakeholders. This person will help maintain and continuously improve our DevSecOps metrics in partnership with insourced and outsourced teams with clearly communicated roles and responsibilities. This engineer will manage and support numerous tools and services within our DevSecOps environment with most listed below. In addition, this role will work closely with our Cloud Platform and Application Development teams. Our DevSecOps pipeline will enable our agile Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) process. This role will build and maintain our DevSecOps tools and services creating a fast, secure, and scalable software development framework.
