Apple DFT CAD Engineer in Boston, Massachusetts

DFT CAD Engineer

  • The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of DFT experience, involved in DFT efforts for large processor and/or SOC designs.

  • Knowledge about industrial standards and practices in DFT, including ATPG, JTAG and MBIST

  • Experience in debugging Compressed ATPG patterns, MBIST, and JTAG/1500 related issues.

  • Experience with Perl or Tcl or Python scripting languages

  • Exposure to industry standard DFT and ATPG Tool required

  • Knowledge of Verilog and/or VHDL, and experience with simulators and waveform debugging tools preferred

  • Familiarity with synthesis tools preferred


  • Develop and implement DFT and ATPG flow - Participate in development and implementation of DFT architecture with design team - Work with the DFT and Synthesis CAD team to verify DFT implementations - Support tool and infrastructure to generate structural test vectors , analyzing and improving coverage - Work with DFT designers on STA, physical, power and logical issues - Drive DFT and ATPG vendor engagements

Education & Experience

  • You should have a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or the equivalent experience.
