Aligns and drives the various business functions within the TSSC organization, ensuring that teams remain connected, and productive amongst the high pace of change experienced by the team. This position will lead the business planning and modeling phases for the TSSC ensuring that service delivery commitments and financial obligations are aligned. This position is expected to participate in planning key initiatives that impact the service delivery model and will serve as a representative to the Global Technology Council, Infrastructure Delivery, and US-Canada Technology. They will serve as an IT escalation point for both internal and external stakeholders. Establishes strong rapport with Corporate IT partners, along with Area Systems Directors to ensure market needs are met. This role will influence and work directly with the entire TSSC and US and Canada IT team and ensure that stakeholder needs are met.



• Undergraduate degree in an engineering or computer science discipline and/or equivalent experience/certification

• 8+ years’ experience in information technology leadership that includes one or more of the following:

o Infrastructure delivery (Networking and/or Server/Desktop Operating Systems), Application or Hardware support

• Direct management experience of cross functional, sourced, and or matrixed teams

• 1+ years’ experience in building presentation decks and delivering to senior leaders

• Ability to travel (20%)


• ITIL v4

• Six Sigma

• Experience with agile frameworks

• Experience/understanding of cloud technologies

• Experience with technology security concepts and functions

• Strong understanding of hotel property technical configurations and the impact on operations.

• Strong understanding of property security and compliance requirements.

• Working knowledge of Field IT support processes, responsibilities, and requirements.

• Project management experience.

• Vendor management experience

• Experience in developing and delivering presentations, technical and functional documentation

• Ability to work on own initiative

• Direct or indirect management experience that includes coaching and developing associates with minimal guidance.

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities


Delivering Technology

Ÿ Develops requirements for Infra and Service delivery to US and Canada; drives strategy discussions for solutions, coordinating options with IT Delivery, vendors, and Americas IT Leadership.

Ÿ Promotes and provides guidance on the benefits of Technology Services to the broader IT community.

Ÿ Serves as escalation and may participate directly in resolution of critical infrastructure and security incidents.

Ÿ Provides consultation services for US/Canada IT and operational (e.g., engineering) leadership, project teams, and IT teams to identify improved operational conditions and processes to address evolving needs

Ÿ Collaborates and provides guidance and recommendations for property compliance and controls standards.

Ÿ Provides guidance and feedback to service desk/service delivery functions (Global Tech) as it relates to the US and Canada hotels.

Ÿ Works closely with Area Directors to ensure maximum performance and engagement around compliance and security posture.

Ÿ Provides educational direction to Marriott Service Providers, Service Desk and Field Services organizations in core property technologies as required.

Ÿ Ensures that documentation for property technology environment is maintained according to standards for US/Canada Technology Services.

Ÿ Ensures coordination and communication amongst the operational towers within TSSC and ensures alignment with current priorities

Ÿ Develops, adopts, and maintains best practice guidelines for shared services and broader field IT organizations.

Ÿ Establishes strong rapport with Corporate and other IT partners to implement continuous improvement activities and ensure market needs are met.

Technology Governance

• Develops operating models for TSSC organization to work most efficiently with existing resource constraints in a matrixed priority environment

• Identifies necessary changes to security compliance posture to protect the hotels from evolving risks.

• Liases with and escalates compliance challenges with Marriott’s Global Information Security Team

• Drives guidelines and governance requirements for change control, configuration management, security controls and services delivery.

Ÿ Demonstrates continuous improvement through metrics of quality consistency and client satisfaction

Ÿ Follow all defined IT standards and processes (i.e. IT Governance, SM&G, Architecture, etc.), and provides input for improvements to the appropriate process owners as needed

Ÿ Maintain a proper balance between business and operational risk

Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this positin is $104,700.00 to $211,145.00 annually.

New York City & Westchester County, NY Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $126,686.00 to $232,258.00 annually.
