KPMG is currently seeking a Director in Cyber Security Defense for our KPMG Consulting practice.


  • Oversee planning, design, implementation, testing, and operation of cyber security processes and systems for Operational Technology engagements

  • Provide guidance on security architecture for Operational Technology domain including threat detection and response systems used as a part of the overall security capability for OT environments

  • Provide direction of business process and security architecture design as it relates security analyst tools for security incident management

  • Administer security configuration for threat management platforms for a wide array of large-scale environments including security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) and security information and event management (SIEM) tools

  • Develop next generation threat detection solutions leveraging machine learning and AI

  • Present firm-based approaches and messaging at internal training classes, external events, and client meetings

  • Work with OT security organizations, proprietary system vendors OEM's) to discover and secure partnering opportunities


  • A minimum of eight years of experience in Information Security or in a technology related field

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience; CISSP, CISM, CISA, CSSA (Certified SCADA Architect) certifications is preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience

  • Experience with Operational Technology systems, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Programable Logic Controllers (PLC's), HMI's, Historians, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), IEC 62443-53 and or 82/ISA 99, or equivalents.

  • Experience supporting and understanding industrial protocols such as OPC, Modbus TCP, HART, Foundation Fieldbus, an advantage

  • Exceptional interpersonal, team building, mentoring, and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior level executives

  • Travel may be up to 80-100%, work in a fast paced, results driven environment, grasp new technology, and contribute at a rapid pace
