Meta Director, Enterprise Infrastructure in Boston, Massachusetts
Meta seeks a Director of Infrastructure for the Enterprise Engineering (EE) team. This team interacts with a broad array of internal business, product and Meta partners to deliver a common, scalable, and secure platform to run applications and services powering the entire company. Managing this team requires a comprehensive understanding of a wide range of technologies, a focus on growing and developing the skills and talents of your teams, and a relentless drive to focus on high-value projects and to prioritize ruthlessly.This is an opportunity to transform the enterprise foundation (network, compute, storage, datacenter operations) at Meta, and work with a highly diverse set of technology requirements from hybrid infra to ultra-low latency computing.
Director, Enterprise Infrastructure Responsibilities:
Deliver global footprint supporting all of Meta - highly resilient, globally distributed infrastructure, including compute, storage, datacenter and availability both on prem & in the cloud.
Drive strategic planning and scaling of Meta’s enterprise infrastructure by evaluating current and future enterprise infrastructure needs.
Drive efficiency while leveraging automation and innovation to scale to support Meta’s needs.
Pursue transformative technologies to bend the curve for Meta and the industry.
Manage and grow a team of key talents to build a top performing organization able to support Meta’s rapid growth.
Work closely with partnering teams to deliver services that meet their business and product needs.
Communicate effectively to all levels of the organization, including executives.
Manage multiple platforms and priorities, scale teams, and ensure org is effective, healthy and set up for success by establishing clear and measurable goals.
BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
10+ years’ experience leading and managing distributed teams within an engineering organization.
Experience in creating and managing teams.
Experience designing an infrastructure strategy and executing the vision behind it.
Experience instilling a culture of ownership, collaboration, and results.
Track record of recruiting talent in network, system and storage engineering.
Proven relationship management skills and experience working within a global organization.
- Track record on delivering infrastructure at scale, preferably in an enterprise setting.
