We are looking for a strong customer-focused director with
operations, support or implementation experience who will partner across
multiple teams to ensure availability and operation of cloud services for our
customers. Your team will play a direct
role in troubleshooting and resolving issues, improving our operational
visibility, devising support procedures and ensuring that we are always focused
on our customers first. As part of the
broader cloud engineering organization, you will act as the voice of the
customer to influence product features and plans to improve the customer
experience. This role is critical to the
success of our short and long term customer relationships and for the overall
success of our cloud services.

Leadefforts across multiple teams to build processes, systems and servicesthat improve operational efficiency, increase velocity of productdelivery, and drive reliability, scale and performance across the OracleRetail SaaS solutions
Build andmaintain excellent relationships with customers and achieve high customersatisfaction to minimize customer churn
Lead anddrive focus on proactive improvements in the reliability and availabilityin the Oracle Retail Cloud to reduce the customer outage time and reducecost in outage remediation
Manage aglobally distributed organization in the pursuit of not only follow thesun operations, but taking advantage of the best talent across the worldin delivering the Cloud Engineering mission
Influenceyour peers in product development to consider industry leading patternsand practices in the creation of high scale cloud products and services
Providevisibility into operational metrics for executive management to improveorganizational understanding of our performance and the customer’sexperience
A degreein Computer Science, MIS or another technical field or 10 years ofequivalent broad engineering experience.
Demonstratedexperience leading global scale enterprise cloud operations andengineering.
Customerfocus with a passion for delighting customers
PreviousDirector level experience managing diverse technical teams both in operationsand automation
Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills with ability to optimize deliveryfor executive, technical or customer audiences.
Experiencemanaging application support teams to deliver world class service andsupport
In depthknowledge of agile organizational transformations and experience intransforming to a service delivery model
Deepunderstanding of cloud concepts, platforms and application administration
Verystrong technical and organizational leadership skills able to buildcredibility, respect and trust at all levels of the organization
Greatmentor and coach of team leaders, architects, and engineers
Deep senseof ownership and responsibility for delivering cloud products and servicesto hundreds of millions of users worldwide
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a director of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture.
Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
