The Director of Product Management (DPM), Data Platform will lead and manage a team responsible for the design, build, launch, and actively managing a portfolio of products and solutions that align with the organization's data platform strategy and roadmap. He will lead the implementation of the strategy, roadmap and oversee the execution of the strategy in collaboration with engineering teams and related business departments. This is a critical, highly visible, and strategic leadership role within the company that has the potential to drive significant business impact.
The DPM will be responsible for driving the development of key capabilities that will drive technology and business transformation, helping establish a leadership position in healthcare data and analytics in the industry. Some of the key capabilities will include - 1) building the next-generation data lake platform that can provide data across internal and external domains, batch and streaming, to enable new product development, 2) building multi-tenant based self-service and intuitive tools (and underlying core shared and common platform services) that enable customers to build at-scale data and analytics products with accelerated speed to market, and 3) building data products, domain-focused) that can serve data on-demand (APIs) and data publishing (real-time data) to existing and new products.
The DPM will be a thought leader in strategy and execution. The scope of this role will include end-to-end management of the product portfolio, product roadmap development, and delivery in collaboration with execution and strategic partners. This position reports directly to the Senior Director, Platform Product Management.
What will I be responsible for in this job?
Manage the development of the data platform with a focus on Healthcare data cloud program architecture, infrastructure, capabilities, components, and standards. Ensure Services meet SLA requirements.
Manage a team of product managers and product owners
Partner with Business Teams, and translate business requirements to technical requirements that further our platform vision.
Drive engagement with customers and external-facing stakeholders to understand and analyze customer and partner needs across a highly competitive and evolving landscape.
Leverage trends, new and potential customers, and competitive information to define and execute overall business plans.
Collaborate with executive leadership and partner with Finance, Business Operations, and Sales to develop and drive business cases and plans for existing offerings and incremental or new innovations.
Partner with Engineering leaders to drive Agile delivery of both existing and new offerings.
Implement go-to-market plans for existing and new offerings including either delivery or collaboration across marketing, demand generation and customer acquisition, internal and external sales enablement, route-to-market, and partnering opportunities across all segments
Drive standardization at Company and Industry level for interoperability.
Drive a platform model forward by microservices, hybrid cloud infrastructure, and API-based common data model.
Drive analysis of existing portfolio of data and analytics products and define a consolidated roadmap to deliver platform services, that can power the product portfolio.
Create new opportunities in this space for Change with new feature capabilities and new offerings that drive customer and business value.
What are the requirements?
10+ years of experience in technology / IT. Healthcare / Healthcare IT experience preferred
5+ years of broad and deep product management experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or other analytical or business acumen-based field ; BSCS, BSEE or equivalent. Master's Degree preferred.
What critical skills are needed for you to consider someone for this position?
Experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.
Experience working in a matrixed environment.
Design thinking experience/certification preferred.
Domain knowledge in areas of Big Data, Operational Databases, Analytics platforms, Data products, Data Governance, Privacy, and Security.
Thorough working knowledge of lean and agile development processes with a proven track record in using these.
Enterprise and large enterprise segment experience (both direct and indirect) with business development experience a plus
Must have significant experience in working with customers to define, validate and integrate their requirements with the current and future platform product delivery.
Strong communication skills (writing, speaking, presenting).
Experience in C-level executive presentations and business case creation.

Ability to demonstrate active listening, and building rapport, and credibility with our business partners and internal teams. Additionally, ability and comfort with working at executive levels.
Ability to set expectations with business partners and effectively leverage governance for a positive outcome.
Ability to influence and break down silos within organizations as well as across organizations.
How much should I expect to travel?
